Oh, sure...SURE...THIS makes lots of sense.

So, down in South California the other day, there was a big prison riot. Personally, though I eschew this sort of uncivilized behavior, I have to tell you that I really like the idea of them. There's something so...I don't know...noir...about them, some way. I picture Broderick Crawford as The Warden, Jimmy Stewart as a guard, and, of course, Humphrey Bogart and John Garfield as inmates...

Along with my senile fantasies, however, there are some things to be said for a riot. First and most obvious...hey, it's scumbags on scumbags; who gives a shit? It's also a really good indication that they're miserable in some way, which is delightful in itself. I mean, we already know they're miserable human beings, but it's good to know that being in prison is an added misery for them.

In a world that was run decently, the State would tell the inmates to enjoy themselves...because YOU live there, WE don't...and we ain't fixing or cleaning up a DAMNED thing. You guys want to live in a dump, fine with me.

But, now, here is the real clincher, for me. Our prisons are said to be over-crowded, and if the state doesn't come up with some way to satisfy whomever makes those judgments, the courts are going to begin turning loose people just like these rioting dumbasses, setting them free early.

...um...may I ask a question?

If you people can't control these assholes in fucking cages, with guards and guns and razor wire and tasers and all of that, just where the hell to you get off setting those fucks on US?

What the hell are you people THINKING?

Let me tell you assholes running this state something. I don't give a shit if you have to stack those worthless pieces of shit like cord wood...I dont care if they have to sleep standing up...I don't care if they don't get ANY medical care, let alone inadequate care. How about you people just keep those animals caged up and handle it any way you can. Maybe a fact-finding mission to some Turkish prisons would help...you dumb bastards.
